Dechra Veterinary Products is to sponsor a forthcoming continuing professional development (CPD) event in Lisburn that will focus on issues pertaining to woundcare.

The British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) event will be held on April 18th 2012 at the Veterinary Surgeons Supply Company and will be run by speaker Georgie Hollis of the Veterinary Wound Healing Association.

Discussing different aspects of the management and care of wounds, the CPD session is intended for veterinary nurses and will offer a reduced entry cost for members of the BVNA.

Rachel Horton, Dechra's brand manager for woundcare, said: "We are delighted to support this CPD event, as advanced woundcare and management is one of Dechra Veterinary Products' key areas of expertise."

Over the last two months, the company has been holding a series of CPD events discussing the diagnosis and treatment of canine hyperadrenocorticism.

The last of these sessions takes place today (March 21st) at the Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club in Edinburgh.
