We have a new opportunity with a leading life science organisation that are looking to expand their team with an additional Technical Lead based in Milton Keynes. This is ideally someone that is currently technical service engineer looking to progress down the management route.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensuring the field engineering team are competent, aligned and focused on raising standards, improving efficiency, driving profitability and delivering best in class customer experience
Attend or supervise the successful completion of all escalated jobs, ensuring customer satisfaction is met and a root cause analysis is undertaken with a "lessons learnt" philosophy.
•  Management of the workshop function, back to base repairs ensuring operations are fit for purpose and repairs completed in a timely manner.
•  Using Field Audits and statistical data, ensure a consistent technical standard across our engineering team, identifying and addressing any areas of weakness or development.
•  Support our sales activity from a technical perspective.
•  Provide Preventative Maintenance field support as and when required.
•  Deputise for Service Manager
•  Contribute and help shape our service delivery for today and tomorrow!

Person Specification

Full UK Driving License
HNC or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering
•  5-years field service experience
•  A continuous and constant improver with an eye for detail and adherence to process
•  Some people management experience, particularly in developing/training
•  IT Literate, MS Office applications
•  Flexible and able to multi-task
•  Effective communication - at all levels
