International Training Executive

11 month contract

This is a UK Basingstoke based position. They will be supporting UK but also the Local operating companies in Europe. This is an office based role with some travel. A direct 11 month contract with Shire.
Seeking a candidate with a training background in a commercial setting within Pharma. Someone with strong communication skills and the ability to train cross-culturally and a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical arena.

Sales Force Effectiveness:
The primary focus for this role is Product Training across ISP and other Representative level training.

Create appropriate training programmes to increase Sales Force product knowledge and skills, co-ordinate and measure the effectiveness of their delivery, and review the results, in all Local Operating Countries. (currently 10 LOCs)

Work with Global Business Units and International Commercial Teams to identify and deliver appropriate product training across 2 key pillars from the following: ADHD, Renal, GI, Xagrid.

Identify, brief and manage external suppliers and Consultants across ISP, and work with internal suppliers, for the delivery of all Sales Representative Product and skills Training Programmes, and ensure they are aligned to InSpire and ADVANCE

Manage Job Bags for own projects to ensure they are completed on schedule
· Project management as agreed with R&D Manager based on Training Needs Analysis (TNA).

Delivery of national training initiatives at regional venues will incur a degree of travel and overnight stays.

Decision Making Authority
· Identify national training needs and deliver development plan accordingly in liaison with National/Field Sales Managers (NSM / FSM).
· Agree plans with R&D Manager in consultation with NSM / FSM.

Key Responsibilities
1. To assist R&D manager in the national analysis of training needs and help structure defined training programmes with timelines aimed at improving business performance.
2. To liaise with R&D manager appropriate sales managers and field based trainers, to provide skills/knowledge training in order to meet the development needs identified in individual representatives development plan.
3. Manage the delivery of initial training programmes for all front line sales personnel in conjunction with field-based trainers. To include review of initial training programmes on an on-going basis to ensure they meet with Shires business needs.
4. To plan, deliver and evaluate central training initiatives and programmes, providing quantitative and qualitative reports to line managers. Highlighting areas for future development and focus.
5. Effectively plan and manage the budgetary spend for initial training programmes, plus other projects assigned by R&D Manager.
6. To assist in the development of both head office and field based training resources as agreed R&D Manager.
7. To pro-actively update/implement own personal development plan to meet the changing needs of the Hospital Business Unit.
8. To help ensure that sales force work within ABPI code of practice and Data Protection Act by leading through example.
9. To help reinforce and implement the Shire Competency Profiles.
10. Provide input into representative appraisal process as requested by RBMs.
11. To develop and enhance relationships across SPL aimed at sharing best practice and instigating training solutions to identified issues.
12. Contribute to the strategic HR plan for SPL as appropriate upon request by the R&D Manager.
13. To effectively utilise company IT systems in the analysis of training needs and the execution and evaluation of training interventions.
14. Ensure personal conduct at work is consistent with Shire's Vision & Values.
15. Carry out other related tasks as required by the R&D Manager.

Basic Salary is competitive and negotiable on experience.

Perfil Personal

Excellent presentation skills

Demonstrated competence in several disease areas

Ability to work from an initial project brief, through to delivery and measurement of training interventions. (project management)

Demonstrates good communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), facilitation and chairmanship skills

Able to initiate and build motivational working relationships.

Well organised

Competent computer skills, with some knowledge of e-learning and web-based learning systems
