Role Overview

An exciting opportunity for a Microbiologist looking to enter a scientific commercial position or an experienced Field Applications Specialist seeking a new opportunity!

The Field Application Specialist role is the front-line technical support representative and is responsible for providing solution-oriented consultative training, technical support and troubleshooting at customer site, at every stage of contact on each technical support interaction in the field.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Performing pre-installation inspections/audits.
•  Coordinating and delivering technical training.
•  Acting as a consultant and support the companies product lines.
•  Answering internal and external customer inquiries.
•  Providing proactive and corrective fine tuning of assay applications to ensure optimal analytical performance.
•  Ensuring regulatory compliance through timely and accurate documentation in the ERP system.
•  Completing all after- technical support documentation (ERP/CRM) necessary to update the planners, customer administration, customer care.
•  Consulting and collaborating with Support Centre team, installation project managers, management, GCS, GICS
•  Supporting the sales team and sales cycle by providing technical sales support in preparing tenders, contracts, product presentations and demonstrations.

Person Specification

- Microbiology qualification ( BSC above) is essential and experience working in a pharma or food environment.\fs25
- Someone with a results-orientated approach.
- Excellent ability to self-motivate.
- Strong communication skills to deliver a customer focussed strategy.
