Role Overview

As Business Development and Sales Account Manager - Diagnostics - EMEA, you'll roll-up your sleeves every day to engage customer networks and the internal team of scientists and field application support specialists. This is a critical role in the organization with the opportunity to help define our growth in the diagnostic assay development industry. This position requires a willingness and aptitude to tackle a wide range of challenges, the savvy to internalize the complexities of all of the portfolio related to diagnostic assay development and the balance competing demands and priorities. You will own end-to-end projects within the customer facing portfolio.

Key Duties and Responsibilities


What You'll Do
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and new business development accounts within EMEA.
Building new business development opportunities within the respective territory to expand product sales across antibody portfolios and services into the IVD and OEM customer base.
Examples of customer targeted application areas include but are not limited to molecular diagnostic assays (e.g. PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, Isothermal Amplification, Sequencing) as well as diagnostic immunoassays (e.g. lateral flow immunoassay and ELISA).
Expanding our bulk catalogue and OEM customer base (antibodies, nanoparticles and molecular biology reagents) as well as explore new and further develop existing development projects.
Set customer guidelines and expectations on new product sample evaluation timelines to ensure in-quarter forecasting when available.
Understand unique market needs to build strategic action items that will expand company influence and expand sales with the diagnostics, genomics and protein catalogue and service portfolio.
Work with the field application scientist (FAS) team to co-coordinate application support and development project follow up.
Report quarterly sales results and forecasts during quarterly business reviews.
Use customer database to research account and sales history that will drive revenue growth in net new customer base and expansion within existing accounts;
Perform other tasks as assigned by management, which may not be listed above, that are necessary to accomplish our goal of improving lives by supporting scientific discovery.
Territory travel approximately 20-30%

Person Specification

What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in life science discipline or business.
Laboratory, science-related or diagnostics industry background preferred.
Proven track record of +5 years technical sales experience in the diagnostic industry.
Track-record of being self-driven to accomplish sales goals in team setting.
Previous CRM experience (Salesforce).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Excellent oral and written English communication, including communicating in a way that a non-technical end user can understand
Ability to think, learn, and solve problems quickly
Ability to operate independently and remotely with at least 1 weekly meeting with supervisor
Organized, well prepared, and maintains a professional appearance and conduct
Ability to maintain flexible travel schedule during the work week

Package

Basic £60,000 +
Bonus: 25% With Potential to earn alot more, there is accelerators within the scheme.
