We are recruiting on behalf of a leading OEM in the decontamination and infection prevention space who are looking for a field service engineer to join their team in Cambridge.

Role Overview

Working on a range of equipment including Steam Sterilizers, Instrument Washer Disinfectors, Endoscope Washer Disinfectors, and Steam Generation plant, we require a professional, confident person with a positive attitude who is willing to learn and adapt to new technologies and standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

ullet Be resourceful, show initiative, and can deal with multiple tasks and work under pressure
ullet Be tasked with performing commissioning, validation, planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown and repair activities to products located at customers' premises
ullet Be home based and you will travel throughout the UK; this post involves spending time away from home regularly

Person Specification

ullet Time served apprentice trained/skilled or skilled by experience, electrical experience with switchgear, panel wiring, 3 phase motors and low voltage circuits would be a distinct advantage.
ullet Minimum of ONC or City and Guilds in relevant engineering subjects
ullet Significant experience with automated systems, steam, compressor, pumps or other relevant industries is essential
ullet Excellent communication skills and a professional manner
ullet Good computing skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications
ullet Experience of working within an ISO registered environment
ullet Excellent organisational skills and good time management
ullet Self-motivation and the ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
ullet A full clean driving licence is essential
