Role Overview

National Sales Specialist - CDS

Overall aim of the job
Responsible for sales of the cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation (CDS) portfolio for endoscopy reprocessing at a national level. Employing segmentation and targeting to identify appropriate new business opportunities and then managing through all stages of the integrated sales process (ISP) to successful close, collaborating with all key internal and external stakeholders as required.

" Achieving sales & profit targets for the business area
" Managing forward pipeline of opportunities as an indicator of future sales
" Win/loss ratio for tenders & new business opportunities
" Key account management and retention of existing (consumables) business

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Main accountabilities
" Shall implement and work to all applicable regulatory and quality requirements as stipulated within the Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.
" Shall implement and work to all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental requirements as stipulated within the HSE Manual, HSE Policies, and HSE Objectives.
" Sales lead generation and development
" Business planning and management of pipeline through CRM
" Working closely with Project Management team at all stages of sales opportunity development, but especially with respect to "Turnkey" projects
" Contribution to the development of CDS marketing and business strategy in collaboration with team
" Management of CDS Healthcare Professional Experts (HCPEs)
" Working alongside sales colleagues from other business units, especially the Gastro & Respiratory team, to promote the brand in Endoscopy

Person Specification

Professional experience:
" Minimum 3 years' experience working in field-based technical sales roles (Healthcare / Medical Devices sector experience preferred)
" Experience of working on capital integration / infrastructure projects in collaboration with project managers preferred
" Experience in the endoscopy reprocessing market


Competencies, skills, knowledge, mindset:
" Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
" Ability to present information in a structured and balanced way
" Ability to work as part of a team
" Willing to travel and occasionally work unsocial hours
" Can use standard applications to process, obtain and combine information such as mail merges, databases etc.
" Analytical approach; able to use data to assess available options and support chosen course of action
" Naturally collaborative, team-oriented
" Demonstrates high levels of resilience, self-motivation and ownership / accountability
