Role Overview

With technology advancing at a rapid pace - growing more complex with every year - the role of Commercial Solutions Specialist is becoming more important and playing a larger role in the sales process. Accordingly, you will support customers in all aspects of product implementation and upselling, working alongside sales representatives, coordinating customer adaptation and implementation of technology.

Reporting to the Commercial Solution Specialist Team Leader, the Commercial Solution Specialist (CSS) will be responsible for pre-site and ongoing site management post contract signature. The responsibilities (not exclusively) will include pre-site assessment, customer training & education, troubleshooting and all go live activities ensuring the businesses' agreements are delivered. The CSS will be the main point of contact for the laboratory post contract signature and support the day-to-day account management in conjunction with the Area Sales Manager, this will include the management of portfolio base opportunities for existing instrumentation.




Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Provides application support to the existing customer base
Provide troubleshooting assistance and be available to support customer with enquiries
Work closely with sales team, technical service team, customer service team and other relevant functions to support customer sites, installations, clinical trials, data collection, customer and competitive feedback
Perform instrument installation and troubleshooting
Ensures customer retention through providing a gold standard of customer support
Supports growth opportunities within existing laboratories, actively drive assay addition to existing customer base



Person Specification

Band 5-7 Molecular, Microbiology, Virology Biomedical Scientists
Significant experience in a laboratory/medical setting using molecular diagnostic instruments and techniques
Commercially Astute
Current UK DL
Able to travel as required across the region
