Are you a science graduate who is keen to establish a career in scientific and medical publishing? Could you apply your enthusiasm and scientific background in a fast-paced editorial environment? One of our key publishing clients are now seeking a self-starter with a strong work ethic to play an important role in reporting on insights and conducting market research that will be used across the business to assist with commercial business decisions.


The company is an independent publisher of around 50 people who are great at embracing innovation and early to adopt new methods.
Their offices are based in North London and the role can be offered hybrid, although they would like people to live within around an hours commute (or those seeking London relocation). They are 20 minutes to Central London and on the Northern Line. The area surrounding the office has plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Role Overview

The role will be outward-facing, and focus on bringing in external knowledge, providing key market and competitor intelligence and identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration. A key element will be squaring exogenously sourced insights with internal business understanding, to decipher how the will be impacted, and can tap into, external changes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

-Market research
-Reporting on insights
-Seek emerging trends in the market
-Communicating with KOLs and external subject matter experts across biomedicine.

Person Specification

Bsc / Msc in either a business-related subject or scientific subject
Scientific literacy preferred but not essential
Strong research skills
Experience conducting market research and generating insights
Excellent written and spoken English language skills
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work


Package

They have a successful graduate scheme and the company is well balanced , so you would be joining a well established peer group.

There are clear progression paths and you will receive world class training and your first 6 months will be used to establish yourself into the industry and role.
£26-28k basic
£3k travel allowance for personal commuting costs paid monthly.
Monthly company breakfasts, cocktail Fridays, two big parties a year and subsidised socials throughout the year
