This exciting and challenging role aims to accelerate the development, improvement and scale-up of new Sequencing Kit products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the in depth characterisation and purification of protein and DNA biomolecules that are central to the single molecule sensing technology. They will also have the opportunity to improve the fundamental chemistry of these components.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

\red69\green85lue86; The role will involve:
Complex biomolecule purification and process development.
Developing scale up and scale out strategies.
•  Analytical method development, primarily in CE, HPLC and LC-MS.
•  Designing biomolecule components for improved performance, scalability and quality.
•  Developing in process functional testing of key components.
•  Technology transfer to both internal and external manufacturing teams.
•  Managing multiple projects in a very fast paced and agile environment.
•  Working and communicating effectively with other groups in Development, Applications, Research and Production.

Person Specification

What We're Looking For...

The role is open to positions from entry level through to Senior.

BSc or MSc in chemistry or biochemistry.
PhD would be preferable for a more senior position.
Ideally some relevant industry experience.
Experience in developing HPLC, CE, LC-MS is essential.
Experience in complex biomolecule separations is strongly preferred.
Experience with downstream process development, optimisation and scale up is advantageous.
Proven ability to work well both individually and as part of a small team.
Proven ability to work well in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisation.
