Richard was looking for a role where he could apply his Scientific background and work in Sales. One year in, we caught up with Richard to find out how his life had changed since joining the team...
What were you looking for when you were seeking a new role?
"I wanted a role which allowed me to apply my scientific background within a sales environment. I had previous sales experience, but wanted to take a step up and be personally responsible for developing and winning business on my own accounts."
What benefits have you had since securing your role?
"I have purchased my first property since starting my role, which has been a long term goal of mine. The role itself also provides me with much more job satisfaction than I had in my previous employment, as I am able to build and maintain relationships with customers and accounts, rather than just putting numbers on the board."
How did you find the recruitment process?
"The recruitment process saved me a lot of time and effort, as I knew that I was being put forward for jobs which fit both mine and the employers requirements. Once I was invited for an interview, I was given an overview of what the interview process/format was likely to be - this was a great help and eventually landed me my current job!"
How has your work/life balance improved?
"I am entirely responsible for managing my own diary, so my work/life balance has vastly improved. I am given activity and performance goals, and it is up to me on how I go about meeting them.
How did you find the service provided to you by Zenopa?
"Great from start to finish – I have found that some recruitment companies are quite aggressive in their approach and are quite keen to push in a direction which will work out best for them, rather than being focused on the candidate. Zenopa were a lot better in this regard, and have placed me in a position which I am thoroughly enjoying."
